Renowned as King County’s largest and most popular park, the 640-acre Marymoor Park is located at the north end of Lake Sammamish in Redmond, Washington. Recreational activities include sports fields, rock climbing walls, an off-leash dog park, a radio-control aircraft flying field, and biking and walking trails attached to the Sammamish River Trail. Visitors over 18 wishing to hit the trails may check out a bicycle at no cost after registering with the park office as part of the Dasani Community Blue Bikes program. The park’s nature trail is a popular birdwatching destination with many species to be seen year-round. Marymoor Park is also home to the state’s only velodrome, a 400-meter track dedicated to bicycle racing offering programs for riders of all levels. Visitors interested in getting a glimpse of the area’s past can explore the historic Willowmoor Farm and Clise Mansion. Marymoor is also an ever-popular spot for events from circus tours to beer festivals. Each summer, the park hosts a live concert series and outdoor movie series.
