Labor Day Weekend on the Lake

With 14 miles of waterfront between Lake Washington and Lake Sammamish, Bellevue is a beautiful waterfront community with plenty of ways to indulge in the lake life.

Book yourself a ride with Bellevue Lake Cruises to embark experience the beautiful Lake Washington for 90 minute Day Cruises or 2 hour Sunset Cruises. Enjoy some small bites, wine, and whatever else you want to bring while floating on the water. 

Feeling a little more adventurous? Head out on the lake in a paddleboard, kayak, or canoe at REI Boathouse at Enatai Beach or REI Boathouse at Meydenbauer Bay Park. For even more adrenaline, you'll want to rent some vehicles from Ohana Kai Watersports to go jet skiing on Lake Washington or Lake Sammamish.

Wine Tasting on Labor Day Weekend

Wine not? Head to Old Bellevue's charming main street to taste some wines. Story in a Bottle Wines is a local shop that hosts exclusive wine tastings from around the world, Saturdays starting at 1:00 pm. Hedge & Vine, purveyors of fine wine, specialty foods, and lovely home goods, is a great spot to taste some wines that you might take with you on your Bellevue Lake Cruise. You won't want to miss making a tasting reservation at Browne Family Vineyard's Bellevue Tasting Room, where you can grab yourself a red blend called "Bellevue" to take home. 

If you want to check out some iconic waterfalls while you're at it, there's a 5 hour all-inclusive experience called the Waterfall & Wine Tour. You'll visit Snoqualmie Falls, Twin Falls, a very cool local's favorite restaurant in North Bend, and an intimate wine tasting at a boutique winery in the Puget Sound AVA.

Nature Hikes and Outdoor Adventure

To get that picture perfect Pacific Northwest woodsy vibe, head on over to Bellevue Botanical Garden to explore the 53 acres of cultivated gardens, restored woodlands, and natural wetlands. It's a great time to check out the Dahlias and you won't want to miss the suspension bride Ravine Experience. There are tours on weekends at noon and it's open from dawn to dusk with free admission every day.

Head to Bellevue Zip Tour for a thrilling adventure in the Douglas and Maple forest at Eastgate Park, where you'll totally conquer your fear of heights with a good time. Take a day trip out to Crystal Mountain, where there's plenty to do in the summer, like hiking the Mt. Rainier trails, stepping up to the challenge course, and taking a gondola ride. For some epic hiking that all the locals rave about, check out the Issaquah Alps Club for trail ideas. There's also plenty of mountain biking adventures in those mountains.
